Effective from 1 January 2026

1. General provisions

These terms govern how SIA "Ice MIXTURE", registration number 41503079989, production site: Jēkabpils iela 12, Riga (the "Seller" or "Ledu.lv"), sells and delivers food-grade ice through the website ledu.lv (the "Website").

By placing an order on the Website, the buyer confirms having read and accepted these terms.

Matters not covered by these terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Latvia, including the Consumer Rights Protection Law.

2. Products and prices

The ice sold on the Website is a food-grade product made from filtered drinking water at the Seller's production site in Riga.

All prices on the Website are in euros (EUR) and include value added tax (VAT 21%). Any applicable delivery fee is communicated before the order is confirmed.

The Seller may change prices; an order is subject to the prices in force at the moment the order is placed.

3. Ordering

Orders can be placed on the Website, by phone at +371 23 008 777 or by email at info@ledu.lv.

The minimum order for delivery in Riga and its suburbs is 10 kg. Delivery to Jūrmala and other regions is arranged individually. The smallest package is 5 kg.

After receiving an order, the Seller contacts the buyer to confirm the order, the delivery time and the total amount. The contract is considered concluded at the moment the order is confirmed.

4. Delivery

Delivery is available in Riga and its suburbs; Jūrmala deliveries are made on request. Delivery elsewhere in Latvia is agreed separately.

The exact delivery time is agreed with the Seller's manager when the order is confirmed.

Ice is a perishable product. The buyer must ensure the goods can be received at the agreed time and place. If the buyer cannot be reached and delivery is impossible, a repeat delivery is made for an additional fee.

The goods and the related risk pass to the buyer at the moment of handover.

5. Payment

Orders are paid by bank transfer against an invoice the Seller sends to the email address provided by the buyer.

The payment term is stated on the invoice.

The Seller reserves the right to request prepayment for large or custom orders (for example, ice blocks cut to individual sizes).

6. Right of withdrawal

Under Clause 22.4 of Latvian Cabinet Regulation No. 255 of 20 May 2014, a consumer may not exercise the right of withdrawal for goods that perish quickly or soon expire. Ice is such a product, so the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to delivered ice.

This does not limit the buyer's right to file a claim about goods that do not conform to the contract (for example, if a different type or quantity of ice was delivered, or the goods did not match the description at the moment of delivery).

7. Claims and product quality

If the delivered goods do not match the order or show quality defects, please tell the courier at the moment of delivery or call +371 23 008 777 immediately, attaching photos.

If the claim is justified, the Seller will, at the buyer's choice, deliver conforming goods free of charge or refund the amount paid.

A consumer may file a claim about non-conforming goods within two years under the Consumer Rights Protection Law, to the extent applicable to a perishable product.

8. Liability

The Seller is not liable for deterioration in quality occurring after handover due to improper storage (for example, if the ice is not placed in a freezer or is kept in an open thermo box longer than indicated).

In cases of force majeure (for example, extreme weather or traffic restrictions) the delivery time may be extended; the Seller informs the buyer as soon as possible.

9. Dispute resolution

The parties resolve disputes through negotiation. If no agreement is reached, the dispute is settled by a court of the Republic of Latvia under the applicable procedure.
